Service Engineer Full Time

Position: Service Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $90,000 plus superannuation per annum plus living and car allowance

Location: Sydney NSW 2000

Our client is seeking a full-time Service Engineer to provide installation, customer training, repair and maintenance of industrial metal laser cutting and bending equipment, and process automation systems.

Tasks required include:

• Assemble and install all company equipment
• Installation start-ups and commissioning of equipment
• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of customer service skills
• Instruct customer on applications, machine operation, and maintenance and safety at customer locations
• Trouble shoot and repair of company equipment with assistance
• Complete installation feedback reports in a timely manner
• Conduct product demonstrations
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area
• Follow all safety requirements/guidelines while in company’s facility and at customer facilities
• Complete and pass basic course outline
• Learn where reference documentation is and how to navigate through it
• Complete legible service reports and expenses on time
• Order and return parts properly within company guidelines
• Establish a mentor within company.
• Follow and Initiate quality improvements per ISO guidelines.

Requirements:

• Qualification equivalent to Associates Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
• Minimum two (2) years maintenance, installation and/or service experience with company equipment
• Ability to work overtime and weekends if necessary. Heavy travel up to 100%.
• Electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics and blueprint reading.
• Basic computer, CNC programming. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
