Our client is seeking a qualified full-time Chef to join their restaurant in South Yara!
Responsibilities and tasks include the following:
Preparing, cooking and presenting a range of dishes;
Assist in menu compilation and process an in depth knowledge of the full menu
Assisting with cleaning the kitchen;
Act as an Expeditor in the kitchen – Responsible for arranging tickets and ordering of food preparation so that the customers received the food in appropriate orders and follow the orders it should be sent out.
Maintaining stock control;
Compliance with food labelling and temperature control
Practising proper workplace health and safety procedures;
Respond to customer requests in a professional and timely manner;
Provide fast and efficient service;
Ensure all meals are prepared and presented in a professional manner.
Ensuring stock levels are always maintained at optimum level
Good written and verbal communication skills
The ideal candidate will have at least minimum of 3 years experience
Have previous experience in a similar role
Diploma or Advanced Diploma of hospitality management
OR at least 3 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above
