Our client Statewide Concrete Industries Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join their team located in St Marys, New South Wales.

The role

The suitable candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Review blueprints and technical drawings to determine materials, dimensions, and installation procedures for structural carpentry and reinforcement work.
• Construct and erect structural frameworks: Builds, assembles, and installs essential building components including wall/ceiling frames, roof trusses, eaves, flooring systems, partitions, and related concrete formwork or steel reinforcement cages as required.
• Fabricate building components: Cuts, bends, shapes, and joins timber, steel rebar, mesh, and other materials to precise specifications.
• Install fixtures, finishes, and embedded elements: Fits and secures doors, windows, exterior cladding, fascia, sheathing, flooring, and positions/secures steel reinforcement bars/mesh within forms.
• Ensure quality, integrity, and compliance: Verifies structural alignment performs quality checks on carpentry and reinforcement work, and ensures all output meets design, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Perform repairs and renovations: Identifies and repairs damaged structural elements, fittings, or timber, including removal and replacement.
• Manage workflow and site safety: Selects/orders materials, prepares layouts, coordinates tasks with other trades and strictly adheres to occupational health and safety protocols.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and highly motivated and have the following skills and experience:

• At least Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification in Civil Construction Design or closely related field.
• At least three (3) years of hands-on recent experience in carpentry or formwork.
• Valid NSW drivers licence
• White Card
• Must have prior experience working on large scale construction and civil projects
• Able to read and understand drawings and manuals.
• Working knowledge of woodwork and joinery
• Be capable of working with limited supervision and the ability to follow instructions precisely
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of relevant industry codes and standards.
• Attention to detail and quality focused.
