Position: Café Worker

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $68,000 to $78,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Apollo Bay VIC 3233

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Café Worker to join their café located in Apollo Bay, Victoria.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service to all patrons, ensuring a welcoming café experience
• Take customer orders accurately and process payments
• Operate coffee machines and equipment
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Clean and maintain workstations, dining areas, kitchen equipment and utensils
• Monitor stock levels, restock supplies and assist with inventory control
• Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally and efficiently
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
• Open and close the café as required, including cash handling and end-of-day procedures
• Comply with workplace policies, procedures and WHS requirements
• Support peak service periods by working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• AQF Certificate I in relevant field or completion of compulsory secondary education
• Must have at least 12 months of experience in a café environment
• Knowledge of food handling and hygiene standards
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and flexible hours.
