Position: Practice Nurse – Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Port Pirie SA 5540

Our client is seeking a Practice Nurse – Registered Nurse to join their well-established and respected medical practice located in Port Pirie.

Tasks & responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Ensure all interactions are professional and courteous with a focus on patient confidentiality
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
• Order & monitor stock, samples and clinical supplies
• Assisting GP’s with minor procedures
• Develop and complete GP management plans and Team Care Arrangements with the assistance of the GP
• Various preventative/chronic disease health assessments including Over 75, 45-49, Heart Health, ATSI, Diabetes assessment, Aged care assessments
• Pre-Employment Medicals
• Venesection/Iron Infusion/ECG/Spirometry/Wound management/general treatment room duties
• Triage & emergency care
• Recall and Reminder System
• NIP/Immunisation’s and cold chain management

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Nursing
• At least three (3) years of prior experience as a Registered Nurse
• Proven prior experience in a hospital, primary healthcare or general practice setting.
• AHPRA registration as a registered nurse
• Excellent communication skills to work in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Positive and professional attitude
• Flexibility and supportive in daily tasks
• Willing to help other roles when needed.
