Position: Building Associate

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Canley Vale NSW 2166

Our client is seeking an experienced Building Associate to join their team. The successful candidate will assist with the planning, coordination and supervision of solar installation and associated construction projects, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely and in accordance with project specifications, relevant standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the planning and organisation of construction and solar installation projects.
• Coordinate project schedules, work programs, labour, materials and resources across project sites.
• Review and interpret construction plans, specifications, drawings and project documentation.
• Coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure works progress according to schedule.
• Monitor construction and installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements and relevant safety standards.
• Assist with estimating project requirements, including labour, materials, costs and anticipated project timeframes.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, resource constraints and site issues.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders regarding project requirements and progress.
• Assist with site inspections and quality-control processes.
• Maintain accurate project records, schedules, reports and other relevant documentation.
• Support management in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.

Requirements:

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma qualification relevant in building, construction or a related discipline, or
• At least three (3) years of relevant industry experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in construction, building, solar installation or a related environment.
• Experience coordinating construction activities, trades and site personnel.
• Ability to interpret plans, specifications and project documentation.
• Strong organisational, planning and project coordination skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a project team.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate teams of 3–4 tradespeople across construction projects
