Our client is seeking a Residential Care Officer to join their team located in Wentworthville, New South Wales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluating client needs and designing, coordinating, and delivering education, training, and support initiatives
Conducting client interviews to identify the type and severity of challenges faced
Tracking client progress and preparing regular updates and reports
Connecting clients with external agencies for specialised or additional support
Identifying community needs and available resources related to health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other services
Collaborating with community organisations, welfare providers, government departments, and private sector stakeholders to address community issues and raise awareness of available services
Providing support to families and delivering care and educational assistance to children and people with disabilities in adult service units, group homes, and government-run facilities
Overseeing individuals on probation or parole and ensuring compliance with requirements
Supporting young people in managing social, emotional, and financial challenges
Preparing funding applications and compiling reports for government departments and relevant agencies
Requirements:
Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or higher qualification
At least 12 months of relevant experience in residential care, community services, youth work, disability support or a similar role
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Valid driver’s licence
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) – NSW (or willingness to obtain)
