Position: Residential Care Officer

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $77,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Wentworthville NSW 2145

Our client is seeking a Residential Care Officer to join their team located in Wentworthville, New South Wales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Evaluating client needs and designing, coordinating, and delivering education, training, and support initiatives
• Conducting client interviews to identify the type and severity of challenges faced
• Tracking client progress and preparing regular updates and reports
• Connecting clients with external agencies for specialised or additional support
• Identifying community needs and available resources related to health, welfare, housing, employment, training, and other services
• Collaborating with community organisations, welfare providers, government departments, and private sector stakeholders to address community issues and raise awareness of available services
• Providing support to families and delivering care and educational assistance to children and people with disabilities in adult service units, group homes, and government-run facilities
• Overseeing individuals on probation or parole and ensuring compliance with requirements
• Supporting young people in managing social, emotional, and financial challenges
• Preparing funding applications and compiling reports for government departments and relevant agencies

Requirements:

• Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or higher qualification
• At least 12 months of relevant experience in residential care, community services, youth work, disability support or a similar role
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid driver’s licence
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) – NSW (or willingness to obtain)
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
