Salary: $88,000 to $92,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client has an opportunity for a Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industry. You will need the appropriate qualifications with evidence of your experience in the design of a variety of projects using different materials. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Based in Brisbane, your role will include the design and delivery of a wide and varied range of projects. You will be given the opportunity to run projects and liaise directly with clients. You will get hands on support from the directors and your peers including senior engineers. This is a unique opportunity to grow with an expanding practice. Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Analyse the statical properties of structures and complete detailed structural calculations using software such as Space Gass, Inducta RCB/SLB/PTD, in compliance with Australian Standards for steel and reinforced concrete structures across a wide range of projects (mixed-use, commercial, and residential developments).
• Prepare and review detailed structural drawings, specifications, and submission documentation for new and existing buildings.
• Liaise and coordinate with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure designs meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and project objectives.
• Manage multiple structural engineering projects from tender through to construction, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance standards are met.
• Conduct site inspections for new and existing constructions, producing detailed assessment reports for steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Provide technical advice on structural integrity, material suitability, and construction methodology.
• Contribute to project planning, risk assessment, and compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification with a bachelor degree or higher.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in structural engineering design particularly in architectural buildings, heritage and institutional projects
• Experience in design using materials such as steel, reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry and timber
• Demonstrated expertise in relevant analysis software programs.
• Experience in software such as Spacegass, RAM Concept, Strand 7, RAPT and Inducta software would be considered favourably
