Our client is seeking an experienced Hairdresser to join their salon located in Ballarat, Victoria.

As a hairdresser you will be responsible for delivering a premium standard of hairdressing services including cutting, colouring, styling, and client consultation. The role is essential to maintaining the salon’s reputation for high-quality, trend-focused, and personalized services. The position contributes to the salon’s operational success through professional service delivery, client retention, and mentoring junior staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough client consultations to determine desired outcomes and recommend suitable styles and treatments.
• Perform cutting, colouring, perming, straightening, and styling services using professional techniques.
• Maintain knowledge of current hair and fashion trends, ensuring services align with client expectations.
• Apply and rinse hair colouring agents, toners, and treatments with proper care and product usage.
• Advise clients on aftercare, styling products, and hair maintenance routines.
• Ensure all equipment and tools are sterilized and maintained in compliance with hygiene standards.
• Manage appointment schedules efficiently to maintain client flow and reduce waiting times.
• Upsell salon products and services, contributing to overall business profitability.
• Provide guidance and supervision to apprentices and junior stylists.
• Uphold salon presentation and cleanliness standards at all times.

Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification: Certificate III in Hairdressing or equivalent international qualification.
• Experience: At least two (2) years of professional salon experience post-qualification.
• Strong technical skills in modern colouring, cutting, and styling techniques.
• Excellent communication and client engagement abilities.
• Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, high-demand environment.
• Knowledge of professional salon products and tools.
