Position: Automotive Technician

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $76,515 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Kent Town SA 5067

Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join their team located in Kent Town, South Australia.

As an Automotive Technician you will be responsible for performing diagnostic, repair and maintenance tasks on a variety of vehicles, with a focus on Jaguar, Land Rover and VAG brands. The role ensures that all work is completed to manufacturer standards and company’s high-quality expectations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using specialised tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform scheduled servicing, safety inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components including engines, transmissions, suspension, braking, and electrical systems.
• Carry out road tests and quality checks to confirm work has been completed to required standards.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts, and service notes.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding progress and additional repair needs.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and professional workshop environment.

Skills & Experience Required

• Minimum 1 year of industry experience as an Automotive Technician.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in modern vehicle diagnostic and repair equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality outcomes.
• Prior experience working on Jaguar, Land Rover and VAG brands is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Automotive Technology (or equivalent).
