As a Motor Mechanic you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards. The role involves performing a wide range of mechanical repairs and services to ensure safe, reliable, and roadworthy vehicles for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicles
• Perform scheduled servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs
• Repair and replace worn or defective parts (including engines, brakes, suspension systems, cooling systems, and fuel systems)
• Conduct test drives and post-repair diagnostics to ensure repairs are successful
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify issues in vehicle systems
• Maintain accurate job records and complete service reports
• Ensure all repairs comply with safety and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop and tools
• Liaise with customers when necessary to explain vehicle issues and repair options
• Adhere to company policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Requirements:

• Certificate III & IV in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of recent and relevant experience as a motor mechanic
• Sound knowledge of mechanical systems and vehicle electronics
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagnostic software
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
