Salary: $90,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Wentworthville NSW 2145

Our client is seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of their supermarket in Wentworthville, New South Wales.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manag the daily operations of the retail store to ensure efficient and profitable business performance.
• Supervise, train and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Monitor sales performance, prepared reports, and implemented strategies to improve revenue and profitability.
• Manage inventory levels, stock ordering, stock control, and merchandising to ensure product availability.
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and returns professionally while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Prepare staff rosters, allocate duties, and monitor employee performance.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies, company procedures, and retail regulations.
• Manage cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) transactions, banking, and end-of-day reconciliation.
• Maintain high standards of visual merchandising, store presentation, and cleanliness.
• Coordinate promotional activities and marketing campaigns to increase sales and customer engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and team members.
• Monitor budgets, controlled operational expenses, and implemented cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements:

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field
• At least 12 months of prior experience as a Retail Manager
• Experience working with Indian grocery products, spices, fresh produce, and specialty food items will be highly regarded
• Proficiency in Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, or other Indian languages will be highly regarded
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of inventory control and merchandising practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.
