Position: Forklift Driver

Position Type: Full-Time / Permanent /on-going or fixed term (minimum 4 years)

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Rochester VIC 3561

Our client is seeking experienced and qualified forklift drivers to support the day-to-day operations of a large-scale fertiliser and agricultural products retailer based in Rochester, regional Victoria. Work involves the operation of varied industry specific vehicles and equipment, such as forklifts and loaders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading, storing and handling bulk products, such as fertiliser.
• Operating forklifts, loaders and similar equipment in warehouse, depot and yard environments.
• Moving and stacking bulk materials, containers, crates, palletised goods, cartons, bales and other heavy packages via forklifts, loaders and similar equipment.
• Transporting goods to designated indoor and outdoor areas.
• Ensuring the correct, proper and safe storage of goods in designated areas.
• Monitoring operation of forklifts, loaders and similar equipment via gauges, instruments, data screens, and computerised monitoring equipment.
• Inspecting, controlling and monitoring forklifts, loaders and similar equipment for wear and damage.
• Servicing and performing minor repairs and adjustments to forklifts, loaders and similar equipment.
• Cleaning and washing forklifts, loaders and similar equipment as required.
• Maintaining a tidy and contaminant-free environment.
• Complying with workplace health and safety procedures.
• Actively contributing to a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Relevant AQF Certificate II (or equivalent) with at least 1.5 years post-qualification experience; OR
• Relevant AQF Certificate III with at least 1 year post-qualification experience; OR
• A minimum of two (2) years relevant industry experience.
• At least two (2) years relevant experience as a Forklift driver
• Ability to work in a physical environment.
• Good communication and record-keeping skills.
• Current driver licence.
• Current fork lift licence.
• Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
