Position: Engineering Technologist

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Tarneit VIC 3029

Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Technologist to join their team in Tarneit, Victoria.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Designing solar panel systems: Designing solar panel systems based on customer specifications, project requirements, and local codes and regulations.
• Determining material and specification requirements: Determine the materials and specifications required for solar installations, including solar panels, mounting systems, wiring, and inverters.
• Preparing technical drawings and documentation: Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and other documentation for solar panel systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
• Collaborating with other professionals: Work closely with other professionals in the solar industry, such as electrical engineers, project managers, and installers, to ensure that solar installations are designed and installed correctly.
• Maintaining technical knowledge: Keep up-to-date with advancements in solar technology, codes, and regulations to ensure that solar panel systems are designed to the latest standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in relevant field
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant prior experience
• Current driver’s licence
• Current Victorian Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Demonstrated experience in designing solar panel systems based on customer specifications, project requirements and local codes and regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret electrical plans, specifications and technical standards accurately
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
