Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client is seeking an experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join their team in Welshpool, Western Australia.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines vehicles and parts
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical and pneumatic components, and referring to service manuals as needed
Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubricants and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
Diagnosing, repairing and testing diesel fuel systems, induction systems, hydraulic systems and air systems for proper performance and function.
Reassembling diesel engines and parts after being repaired
Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthiness
May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.
Requirements:
Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology
At least 12 months of relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic (Diesel)
Valid Australian driver’s licence
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Good problem-solving and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations.
