Position: Architectural Draftsperson

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $76,515 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Minto NSW 2566

Our client is seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join their team located in Minto, Sydney New South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the construction and drafting of the Proposed Workshop Expansion Project
• Operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment and conventional drafting stations to produce designs, working drawings, charts, and records
• Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents to determine their impact on architectural designs
• Coordinate structural, electrical, and mechanical designs, determining the best methods to represent building plans graphically
• Develop detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings, and structures based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, and specification sheets
• Plan and layout interior room arrangements for commercial buildings using CAD software
• Collect and compile data necessary for completing architectural designs; conduct job site visits to gather measurements as needed
• Monitor daily schedules and track the progress of ongoing and completed jobs
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings with the team prior to production operations
• Record production and engineering meeting minutes
• Track workshop attendance and monitor active job cards for custom builds and repairs
• Conduct job analysis, evaluating time and labor costs for both custom builds and repairs
• Ensure compliance with Work Health Safety (WHS) regulations in the workshop
• Assist with stock take preparations for painting materials, steel, and other consumables
• Prepare parts for trailer assembly and organize them by job in designated trolleys
• Report directly to top management and perform other tasks as assigned by management

Relevant skills and experience:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Architectural Drafting, or a related field

Experience

• Minimum of six (6) years of experience as an architectural draftsperson
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard drafting and modelling software
• Strong understanding of building codes, construction standards, and materials
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality technical drawings
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
