Position: Leading Hand Carpenter

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $95,000 to $105,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Wetherill Park NSW 2164

Our client is a leading provider in commercial construction, refurbishment, fit out and maintenance works. They operate within a variety of industry sectors and offers to their clients a wide range of services from Commercial construction and fit out project work to reactive and preventative maintenance

They pride themselves on professionalism and are looking for an experienced well-presented Leading Hand Carpenter with strong communication skills. The role will be responsible for providing exceptional service to commercial clients primarily based in Sydney Metropolitan area however you may be required to travel regionally on occasions for specific projects.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide set out and levels for works being undertaken
• Install formwork carpentry and steel fixing
• Install Structural Timber and Cold Form Steel Framing
• Install Partition Framing
• Install Windows and Glazed Partitions
• Frame Suspended ceilings including Grid and Tile Ceilings
• Sheet and Set interior linings.
• Fix off Skirtings, Architraves and Trims
• Assemble and install Joinery and Furniture
• Installation of door frames, doors and door hardware including experience with Fire Rated Doors
• Assist site manager and project Team in maintaining WH&S, Quality and Environmental responsibilities for the project.

Requirements:

• Minimum of Certificate III in Carpentry
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Construction industry
• Ability to read and interpret all construction documentation including but not limited to Architectural, Structural and Services Drawings and Specifications
• Occasional regional travel may be required for specific projects
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
