The Company

Crispy Bakehouse is a specialist artisan bakery located in Turrella, NSW. They produce a comprehensive range of handcrafted breads, pastries, and sweet delights made entirely from scratch using traditional techniques and quality ingredients. Their bakehouse features a dedicated retail front where customers purchase fresh artisan products directly in retail quantities. They maintain a strong focus on organic, specialty, and high-end baked goods, and we employ a team of highly skilled and qualified bakers with specific skill requirements and significant work experience.

The role

They are seeking a creative Content Creator to create and curate engaging social media content, grow their online following and build an active community around Crispy Bakehouse. You will turn everyday moments in our bakehouse into content that people want to watch, share and return to – from early-morning dough preparation to a freshly finished pastry. Working closely with the bakery team and management, you will shape our social media presence, build relationships with our audience and develop creative collaborations that introduce our products to new customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a regular content schedule around our baking routines, new products, seasonal offerings and the people behind the business.
• Take content from concept to publication, including planning shoots, photographing products, filming behind-the-scenes footage, editing short videos and writing accompanying captions.
• Give our social media accounts a recognisable personality, adapting content to each platform while keeping our presentation and tone consistent.
• Build an active community by starting conversations, responding to comments and messages, sharing customer content with permission and bringing audience feedback to the team.
• Review which posts attract attention, generate meaningful interaction and bring in new followers. Use these findings to improve future content and identify stories worth developing further.
• Experiment with emerging video formats, social media features and food trends where they suit our products and audience.
• Arrange collaborations with food creators and café partners, including bakery visits, product features and shared content that introduces Crispy Bakehouse to their audiences.
• Coordinate campaign briefs, promotional arrangements and agreed content. Discuss fees, usage rights and other partnership terms within management’s approval.

The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and highly motivated and have the following skills and experience:

• Minimum bachelor degree in communications, digital marketing, journalism or media
• At least two (2) years of relevant experience
• Experience creating social media content for a business, brand or established online community.
• A portfolio demonstrating photography, short-form video production, editing and engaging written content.
• An understanding of how to attract and retain an audience, supported by the ability to interpret social media performance data.
• Confidence working with people on camera and communicating with customers, creators and business partners.
• Strong organisation, initiative and the ability to manage a content schedule alongside the practical demands of a working bakery.
