Position: Landscape Gardener

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Caulfield VIC 3162

Our client is seeking an experienced full-time Landscape Gardener to join their team located in Caulfield, Victoria.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain soil, seedbeds, and growing areas for planting.
• Plant, cultivate, and maintain trees, shrubs, hedges, flowers, lawns, and other landscape vegetation.
• Prepare lawn areas by spreading topsoil, laying instant turf, or sowing grass seed, and maintain lawns through mowing, edging, watering, fertilising, and weed control.
• Prune trees, shrubs, and hedges, and install plant supports and protective devices where required.
• Install garden beds, edging, mulch, decorative stone, paving, and other landscape features.
• Read and interpret landscape plans and carry out landscaping work according to project specifications.
• Select and plant suitable trees, shrubs, flowers, and ground covers based on site and environmental conditions.
• Install, inspect, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient watering of landscaped areas.
• Operate and maintain landscaping machinery, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all landscaping work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements and company standards.

Requirements:

• Certificate III or Certificate IV in Horticulture
• Demonstrated experience in a similar position with at least 12 months of relevant experience as a Landscape Gardener
• Current Victorian Driver Licence and own reliable transport
• A high level of understanding and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety
• Must be physically fit, physical requirements include but are not limited to: carrying, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, twisting
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
