Position: Truck Driver (General)

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $79,500 to $90,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Shepparton East VIC 3631

Our client specialises in long-haul freight, linehaul transport, and warehousing solutions and is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to work across the Goulburn Valley region including Shepparton East, Victoria

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive and operate trucks.
• Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps.
• Pre-inspect truck.
• Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes always.
• Complete and verify paperwork with accuracy.
• Comply with all laws and legislation regarding trucks as well as comply with company’s policies and procedures.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Requirements:

• AQF Certificate II or III in relevant field OR at least one year of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications
• Valid Heavy Vehicle Licence
• At least 12 months relevant experience as a Truck Driver
• Experience transporting general and palletised freight using heavy vehicle combinations, including semi-trailers and B-doubles.
• No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven (7) years
• Ability to lift 80 pounds repeatedly throughout day
• Traffic laws/ DOT regulations/ driving knowledge
• Clean driving record.
