Position: Retail Store Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Westmeadows VIC 3049

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Retail Store Manager to lead the operations of their IGA store located in Westmeadows, Victoria. This role requires hands-on leadership to ensure smooth daily operations, effective team management, inventory control, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of daily store operations including sales, staffing, stock control, and resource management
• Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and achieve store goals
• Prepare store budgets and manage expenses effectively
• Plan and execute local marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
• Set pricing strategies and purchasing guidelines in line with market trends and store goals
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, supply levels, and stock movement
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
• Provide regular performance and financial reports to support informed decision-making by the business owner
• Act as a role model for staff and promote a productive and customer-focused work environment.

Requirements:

• Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Retail, Business, Hospitality or related field
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Retail Store Manager within a supermarket setting is essential
• Prior experience leading an IGA Supermarket team would be highly regarded
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of retail operations, budgeting, marketing, and stock management
• Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
