Position: Telecommunications Linesworker

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $77,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Our client Apex Communication Technologies is seeking two (2) skilled Telecommunications Linesworkers to become a part of their team contributing to projects across South Australia

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Undertake installation of communication and associated projects as directed.
• Liaise with clients in a professional and appropriate manner.
• Installation of Communication Equipment, Cables and associated fittings and fixtures as per project scope of works and client standards.
• Installation of Tower Structures, Braces, Brackets, Antenna’s and Civil Works as per project scope of works and client standards.
• Ensuring Safety is adhered on all Apex sites. (for Apex internal Staff and Sub contractors of Apex).
• Ensuring Quality is adhered in line with project guidelines.
• Ensuring Environmental Conditions are met for all builds.
• Complete Safety , Quality, Environmental Completion Project documents.
• Installation of Communication Cables, Cabinets and other associated equipment as per project requirements.
• Installation of Head End Microwave Links . Integrate and commissioning
• Installation of Mobile Equipment – 4G , 5G , LTE , POE.
• Site Surveys.
• Pedestrian Management.
• All work to be undertaken in accordance with approved JSA and SWMS for each site.
• Country work, afternoon / nightshift and overtime will be required on a project by project basis
• DC Cabling , Labelling and Testing. Coax and Hybrid Cabling. Optical Fibre Patching and Testing. Transmission installation and commissioning.

Requirements:

• Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, Certificate IV or higher in relevant field
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above
• Prior industry experience in telecommunications linework
• Current Manual driver’s licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• Working at Heights, EWP above 11m and Hight Risk Licences for EWP & Rigging tickets
• Telstra, Optus & VHA Carrier Experience Essential
• Knowledge of Nokia and Ericsson standards are Essential
• Must be able to travel throughout South Australia as required
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong focus on workplace safety and adherence to WHS practices
• No Defects on Workmanship.
