Salary: $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation per annum

Reports to: Head Chef / Restaurant Manager

Our client Malobo Kitchen & Bar is currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef with a minimum of one year  of experience in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will possess a Certificate III & IV and a Diploma in Hospitality Management, along with a strong understanding of food preparation, kitchen operations, and team leadership

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality meals in line with Malobo Kitchen & Bar’s menu and seasonal offerings.
• Ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations while maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.
• Monitor food storage, stock levels, and inventory to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
• Develop and test new recipes to align with customer preferences and market trends.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and maintain compliance with HACCP and local health codes.
• Collaborate with management on menu development, cost control, and supplier relationships.
• Handle customer feedback professionally to improve food quality and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring compliance with workplace safety policies.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Must hold Certificate III , IV in Kitchen Management and a Diploma in Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 1 years of experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of modern cooking techniques, baking methods, and food presentation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and consistency.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to manage kitchen budgets and control food costs effectively.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
