Position: Printer

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Hamilton QLD 4007

Are you looking to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment? Our client Printcraft in Hamilton, QLD is seeking a motivated and organized printer to become a valuable part of their team.

Tasks required include:

• Liaise with the print supervisor with regard to daily work schedules
• Plan and prioritise work tasks to ensure efficient load scheduling
• Prepare and load plates, inks and varnishes
• Set up paper feed, delivery and paper travel through the press inking systems and colour sequence
• Check the make ready sheets to correctly position the printed image on the sheet
• Monitor the quality of the print during the run
• Wash up the press and reset adjustments in preparation for the next job
• Supervise and provide direction to the printers offsider
• Emergency and regular maintenance of equipment as required
• Deal with clients, suppliers and other employees professionally at all times
• Support company policy
• Participate in training sessions as required
• Provide staff training as required
• Report to the Print Room Supervisor and other Managers as directed
• Meet performance standard expectations for this position
• Care for the health and safety of self and others
• Follow workplace procedures and instructions at all times
• Identify and report unsafe or hazardous working conditions

Requirements:

• Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in relevant field is preferred
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
• Over five (5) years industry experience required
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Good general level of computer literacy and Microsoft application skills
• Knowledge of and adherence to WHS Policies and Procedures
• Ability to multi task, work under pressure and remain customer focused
• Motivated hands-on team player with good problem solving skills
• Good self-management and organisational skills
