Our client is a leading dental practice in Sydney’s Inner West, providing comprehensive general and cosmetic dental care including crowns, bridges, veneers, implants and Invisalign.

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Dental Technician to join their team in Ashfield, New South Wales. This full-time, permanent role involves the fabrication, repair, and modification of dental appliances and prostheses to support their clinicians and ensure the highest quality outcomes for their patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Construct, repair, and modify dental appliances including crowns, bridges, dentures, splints, veneers, and implant-supported restorations.
• Pour and trim dental impressions and prepare working models using gypsum products.
• Wax-up and design restorations digitally and manually (including CAD/CAM and 3D printing workflows).
• Cast metals and process acrylics and ceramics for prostheses and restorations.
• Finish, polish, and adjust dental appliances to precise specifications.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and infection control protocols in line with ADA and WHS standards.
• Liaise with dentists to discuss case designs, materials, shades, and technical requirements.
• Ensure high-quality, aesthetic, and functional outcomes consistent with practice standards.
• Maintain accurate case records and contribute to continuous workflow efficiency.

Requirements:

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, Diploma or higher in Dental Technology (or equivalent overseas qualification)
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience as a qualified Dental Technician in a dental laboratory or clinical setting.
• Experience with implant-supported prostheses and aesthetic restorations highly regarded.
• Previous exposure to CAD/CAM systems (e.g., Exocad, 3Shape, or similar) preferred.
• Competence in both traditional and digital dental laboratory techniques (CAD/CAM, 3D printing, milling, etc.).
• Strong understanding of dental materials science (ceramics, alloys, acrylics, composites).
• Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and colour matching ability.
• Ability to interpret dental prescriptions, radiographs, and digital scans.
• Sound knowledge of infection control, WHS, and quality assurance in dental settings.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinicians.
