Our client is seeking an experienced full time cook to join their team. The ideal applicant will have experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment and must be able to work well independently as well as within a team.
Responsibilities include the following:
Build a menu and up-date by season or customers type,
Quality and control of food supplies, food preparation and relevant procedures,
Training cooks and kitchen hands, in food preparation, types and techniques
Supervise other staff members with food preparation.
Implement diverse and high standards food types, cold-hot, first, main and other dishes
Create new gourmet food such as dips and food dishes
Ensure cost effective with food preparation
Season, prepare, cook and present food
Operate kitchen cooking and preparation equipment
Maintain a very high standard of personal and workplace hygiene and safety
Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff
Assist in training new staff
Menu planning and costing
Certificate III or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery
