Our client Create Catering is seeking an experienced full-time Chef to join their team located in Sutherland, New South Wales.
Tasks required include:
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of systems to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and related outlets
Plan menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected service
Liaise with Restaurant employees regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes
Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are met
Maintain presentation standards for all food whilst maintain recipe standards
Ensure stock is ordered & rotated accordingly & minimum wastage. Must maintain strick stock control procedures
Fulfil duties in the preparation & production of food as requested & delegate duties to other employees where fit
Must ensure all working areas are clean & tidy, all equipment must be cleaned, serviced & maintained to OHS standards
Must be willing to learn procedures and co-ordinate with head chef.
Requirements:
Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field
At least three (3) years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed
At least three (3) years of prior experience as a Chef
